Spice Girls Reunited For The 2019 UK Tour Without Posh

Sporty, Baby, Scary Spice and Ginger bring “Girl Power” back for a six-date stadium trek.

Recently The Spice Girls including: Ginger Spice, Baby Spice, Sporty Spice and Scary Spice have officially made an announcement of their reunion without Posh, for a six-date trek with a video posted on social media Monday.

Singer Jess Glynne will serve as special guest on the band’s tour which kicks off on June 1st, 2019 at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and concludes with a gig at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 15th.

“We’re going to be going on tour,” Melanie “Scary Sic” Brown told James Corden. “Us four for sure. We’ll see about [Posh], but us four are definitely going to be on tour. She might join us for a few [shows]. She better”,she continued.

However, Victoria Beckham said in an interview with Vogue that she was not going on tour. “What does that look like in the future? it’s not me in a catsuit”,Beckhan confirmed.

In February, all five members of the Spice Girls released a statement where they talked about some “exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls.”

The group said in a statement: “We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls,”“The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.”

Is the previous conflict between Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham(Posh) still on?

During the heyday of Spice Girls, the personality conflict between Posh and Mel B was always a big problem in the band. Rumor has it that Posh found Mel B too vulgar and rude while Mel B thought Posh had no musical talent. During the early time of the band, Posh was always performing with the microphone low or even without the mic.

Mel B even made Posh lose heart when she told her that Posh did not lend her costumes when she promoted her own reality TV show. Since then Victoria has turned down all the invitations to perform with the group. “I like doing what I’m doing. Working with Spice Girls is great, but I have never been a great singer, and it is not my passion ”- Victoria explained.

The Spice Girls are an English pop girl group formed in 1994. Their debut single “Wannabe” in 1996 hit number one in 37 countries and commenced their global success. Their debut album Spice (1996) sold more than 23 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in history. Their follow-up album, Spiceworld (1997), was also a commercial success, selling over 13 million copies worldwide.

In November 2000, the group released Forever, which was their only album without Halliwell. In January 2001, the group unofficially announced that they were beginning an indefinite hiatus and would be concentrating on their solo careers in regards to their foreseeable future, although they pointed out that the group were not splitting.
